Sandra Stern Promoted

Sandra Stern has been promoted to exec VP and chief operating officer of Lions GateLions Gate Television as part of her new multiyear agreement with the company.
Stern will continue running all business, legal and administrative facets of Lions Gate Television, focusing on strategy, transactions and negotiations as well as exploring cost-effective production options for the division. She first joined the branch in 2003 as exec VP, business and legal affairs.

"Her remarkable skills and extensive background in the industry at both the independent and major studio levels have helped shape our division's highly entrepreneurial and opportunistic business model," Lions Gate Television prexyprexy of programming and production Kevin BeggsKevin Beggs said.

Lions Gate Television is the TV production and distribution arm of Lions Gate Entertainment. Division supplies shows such as USA Network's drama "The Dead Zone," Lifetime TelevisionLifetime Television's crime series "Missing""Missing" and Showtime's new comedy "Weeds."
