Mass. Spinners Declare Friday, the 13th of August, Stephen King Bobble Head Night.

The Lowell Sun ran a cute article about the local baseball team giving away Stephen King Bobble Heads at their Friday the 13th Game.

The bobble head depicts Bangor resident King standing on three stacked books and wearing jeans, a Red Sox jersey, glasses and a Spinners hat.

The Red Sox jersey has "King" across the back and the No. 13 for Friday the 13th.

The three book titles are "The Dark Tower, ""The Green Mile" and "The Dead Zone," selected because they represent the author's three favorites.

The first 1,500 fans through the gate at LeLacheur Park for the game against the Tri-City Valleycats will receive a King bobble head in honor of the Maine novelist and noted Red Sox fan.

Game time is 7:05 p.m. and the gates open at 5:30

Standing-room tickets are still available for the game at a cost of $3.50. They can be purchased at the Spinners ticket office at LeLacheur Park or by calling 978-459-1702.

If anyone here is in the area and gets a bobble head, it'd be cool if you could email a picture to the site!
