DEAD ZONE CAST AND CREW NEWS

10.5 – From director John Lafia (“The Dead Zone”), NBC presents the ground-shattering movie event, “10.5.” Disaster hits the United States when a giant earthquake shakes-up the West Coast, separating the entire region from the main land, and sending it into the ocean. Michael Jaffe (“Martha, Inc.: The Martha Stewart Story”), Howard Braunstein (“South Pacific”), and Gary Pearl (“Liberty Stands Still”) serve as executive producers for the teleplay written by Lafia, Chris Canaan (“The House on Turk Street”), and Ronnie Christensen (“Dark Angel”). The movie is distributed by Hallmark Entertainment.

10.5 (NBC, New!) - The Peacock has greenlighted a four-hour mini-series which revolves around a female seismologist who warns of a serious global catastrophe when a series of earthquakes increase in magnitude. The special effects heavy project, from Jaffe-Braunstein Films and Pearl Pictures, will be directed by John Lafia ("The Dead Zone"). Lafia wrote the script with Christopher Canaan ("Walker, Texas Ranger") and Ronnie Christensen ("Monster!"), while Gary Pearl, Howard Braunstein and Michael Jaffe will executive produce. Production is set to begin in Vancouver in June for a 2004 air date.
