Culp, best known for co-starring with Bill Cosby in the I Spy series, plays Geoffrey Grissom, a reclusive loner who Johnny foresees will go missing. Curious, Johnny visits Grissom, who predicts the same thing. But their chat is cut short when Grissom's nurse orders Johnny to leave. When Johnny returns to renew the discussion the next day, he finds another family living in the house and no trace of Grissom. In fact, the psychic finds no evidence of Grissom even existing---until he has a vision that points to an elaborate deception at work.
