In an article that talks of Stephen Kings many works turned movie/mini-series, there is talk of USA's The Dead Zone Vs. it's movie counterpart

The one King property that has worked, and as the USA Network is showing right now, works exceedingly well, is the "The Dead Zone." The series was so successful in its first season last year that it was added to the SciFi Channel lineup.
