Zap2it.com has an article about The Dead Zone and The Shield's Premieres
On Sunday (Jan. 5), "The Dead Zone" returned to USA, drawing an audience of about 4.1 million. That's well below the 6.4 million who watched series debut last June, but nearly equal to the first season's average audience.

For what it's worth, "The Dead Zone" held the record for the most-watched second-season premiere in basic-cable history for all of two days, until "The Shield" surpassed it.
