There has been a little confusion about the length of our season. We've been told by USA all along that we would be doing 13 episode cycles. The additional nine scripts that they recently ordered will most likely be used to produce the next cycle which could begin next summer. All in all, we're doing 26 episodes this first year - as many as we did on each year of Star Trek.

New York, NY — January 7, 2003 — USA Network's second season premiere of the original series The Dead Zone set records on Sunday, January 5 (10-11 PM ET/PT). With 4.1 million viewers, The Dead Zone became the most-watched second season premiere of an original dramatic series on basic cable ever.

Sunday's episode of The Dead Zone was the highest-rated cable program of the night in households (3.2), P25-54 (2.2) and P18-49 (2.2).
