Weird Science: Teen nerds Gary (Anthony Michael Hall) and Wyatt (IIan Mitchell Smith) are this movie’s enormous geeks. They’re sick of being ignored by girls, abused by the cool jocks, and hanging out every Friday night with just each other. So they create a hot chick with big boobs and a comparable I.Q. to make themselves cooler and their lives better. During their party a motorcycle gang literally crashes the party when they burst into the living room - but it’s no worries, ‘cause the girl with the boobs clean up!

Get A Dead Zone Fix With Medium

www.pressargus.com has an article talking about ABC's new series Medium. Sound like it might be able to tide some of us over until the new Dead Zone Season Starts.

The show moves along much like “The Dead Zone” without the expense of special effects as Allison tries to make sense of what is going on around her, and why she has the visions and conversations with dead people. It’s kind of like a what if the kid from the “Sixth Sense” grew up and got a job.

Summer TV In Australia Shines

The Age.com reports that summer TV there is booming this year and The Dead Zone makes the list of favorites.

Then there are returns of old favourites. We're all cheering the reappearance of Chardonnay and co in Ten's Footballers' Wives, and Martin Sheen's we-wish President in Nine's West Wing. Also making a welcome return to Nine is the flashy, trashy crew from Nip/Tuck, while the gloriously daffy (and frequently confronting) medical comedy Scrubs is back on Seven. And there's more: Crossing Jordan, Will and Grace, That '70s Show (Seven); Judging Amy, Third Watch, The Dead Zone (Nine); Just Shoot Me, The Guardian (Ten); and Coupling on the ABC. It does make you wonder why we couldn't have been watching all this great stuff mid-year. Rather than Fear Factor or Funniest Home Videos .

NBC Picks Up A Medium Of Their Own

Nashville City Paper has an article on NBC's newest hopeful Medium. The series will star Patricia Arquette as Allison Dubois, the show will debut on Jan 9th at 9PM.

Medium lands in an extremely tough time slot. LAX opened well there, then was quickly obliterated when CSI:Miami (currently either the second or third rated show most weeks) returned. Secondly, given the inferior quality of USA network's The Dead Zone, it remains to be seen how much audience NBC can attract for the program. One plus for the show is its creative team. Glenn Gordon Caron (Moonlighting) and Kelsey Grammer (Frasier are among the executive producers, so hopefully the plots may be a bit better than the usual crime drama fare. Arquette has previously been seen in the films Stigmata and Flirting With Disaster, while Weber recently appeared in U-571. Others in the cast include April Grace, Maria Lark, Miguel Sandoval and Sofia Vassillieva. The program has an initial 13-episode order.
